Every stylist at La La Luxe has undergone extensive training, classes, and education regardless of their years of experience. Owner, Leah classifies each stylist based on the number of years in the industry, the level of skill they have in addition to their level of creativity and natural artistic talent. The industry experience of every stylist at La La Luxe ranges from 1 year to 25 years. Every stylist, regardless of experience, is continually trained and guided by Owner, Leah. Stylists at La La Luxe are required to continue their education in and out of the salon in order to maintain their skill and technique and to keep up with modern trends and innovations.
JUNIOR STYLIST: 0-2 years in the industry
STYLIST: 2-6 years in the industry
SENIOR STYLIST: 6-10 years in the industry
MASTER STYLIST: 10+ years in the industry

Owner Leah Carlson has been creating one-of-a-kind haircuts, styles, and custom color for 25 years. Leah brings her artistry, technical skill, and a warm approach to each appointment, helping guests embrace beautiful, low-maintenance looks that feel true to them.
Leah’s passion for beauty started early, leading her to graduate from Arthur Angelo School of Cosmetology and CCRI with a degree in Fine Arts. Her career has been shaped by advanced training, including mastering her craft at Vidal Sassoon Academy, learning razor cutting and custom color techniques with Nick Arrojo, and honing her styling skills with celebrity stylist Oribe. Leah’s expertise lies in creating shape, depth, and movement that enhance natural features.
Dedicated to growth and innovation, Leah recently completed a color and business course in NYC. Committed to giving back, she mentors her team with monthly education sessions, fostering a supportive and inspiring environment at La La Luxe. Her dream is to create a program to mentor emerging stylists.
Her specialties include straight-razor cutting, precision cutting, curly and wavy texture, short and pixie cuts, dimensional color, corrective color, platinum blondes, extensions, and grey transitioning, allowing guests to embrace natural beauty in a way that suits their lifestyle. Guests from neighboring states seek out Leah for her expertise in grey transitioning, establishing her as one of New England’s top stylists in this specialty. In addition to her skill in hair, Leah has a deep passion and extensive experience in makeup, bringing over 25 years of classic, modern and innovative makeup artistry to her guests.

Recognized by American Salon Magazine as one of Rhode Island’s top salons, La La Luxe has been highlighted in Rhode Island Monthly, Providence Monthly, The Bay, and on “The Rhode Show.”
As a salon owner, artist, and mother, Leah is dedicated to creating a positive experience for every guest. “Gorgeous hair is the cherry on top, but what matters most is that every guest feels comfortable and leaves feeling their best.” Leah credits her team for cultivating the warm, judgment-free atmosphere La La Luxe is known for, where creativity and inspiration flow daily.

Kim is an inspiring and dedicated artist with over three years of experience bringing beauty to life. Her work blends a passion for art with a commitment to empowering her clients, helping each person love the way they look and feel. Specializing in lived-in color, balayage, foil highlights, dimensional brunettes, custom blonding, and both classic and modern cuts, Kim treats every hairstyle as a unique canvas, merging her technical skill with her natural creativity.

Casey launched her career in Boston, where she quickly became known for her artistry and her gift for creating confidence in every guest who sat in her chair. With over 15 years of expertise, she brings a wealth of knowledge, professionalism, and passion to La La Luxe Salon, where she continues to elevate her craft.
Casey specializes in balayage, dimensional brunettes, vibrant auburns and coppers, radiant reds, natural-looking highlights, and high-impact blonde shades, from lived-in blondes to luminous platinum. She’s a corrective color expert and is also certified in Hairtalk tape-in extensions, adding versatility to her skill set.
With advanced certifications from top brands like Wella, Goldwell, Davines, and Pravana, Casey has mastered a range of color techniques and is especially skilled in creating stunning, long-lasting styles and blowouts. She’s passionate about teaching her guests how to maintain salon-worthy looks at home, ensuring they feel beautiful every day.
Outside the salon, Casey is a devoted wife and a proud mother to two wonderful daughters, cherishing time spent with her family. Her warmth, expertise, and dedication make every visit an unforgettable experience.
Sara Harriss, Stylist

Sara’s love for hair began as a child when she discovered one of her mom’s braiding books. “I remember spending hours teaching myself how to braid on my dolls. In high school, I was always the go-to stylist, making sure all my friends had perfect hair for every dance.”
With over four years in the industry, Sara has developed a strong reputation for her expertise in dry haircutting, transformative color, red and copper shades, and natural-looking blondes and brunettes. She’s skilled in lived-in color and highlights, blonde balayage, dimensional brunettes, precision cuts, color correction, and grey-blending. Her specialties also include bridal and special occasion hairstyling, where she creates looks that are timeless and elegant.
Recently relocating to Rhode Island from Spokane, WA, Sara brings a fresh perspective to La La Luxe Salon. Known for her artistic eye and warm, welcoming personality, Sara has a unique talent for creating effortlessly beautiful, low-maintenance styles that last. Her passion for making every client look and feel their best shines through in every appointment.
